Meira SMAILOVICZ
Pianiste et professeur à Ljubljana
After graduating (1972) from the Academy of Music in Sarajevo (Prof. Feller), Meira Smailovicz continues her studies at the Music Academy in Ljubljana (Prof. Horak). As the recipient of the scholarship of the French Government, she concluded her postgraduate stuies with Prof. Deschaussées at the Conservatoire Européen in Paris.
Meira Smailovicz played concerts in Ex-Yugoslavia, France, Italy, Germany, Russia and Egypt.
In her rich pedagogical career in Sarajevo and Slovenia, she formed numerous talented pianists, who are laureates of several national and international competitons. She works as a piano professor at the "Music Studio Tartini" in Ljubljana.
Several times she was a jury member at competitions in Ex-Jugoslavie, Slovenia and France. She has been assistent pianist in Master Classes given by musicians such as Pavel Vernikoc, E. Chugaiva and I. Gavris.
